Sometimes, it’s hard to know the right response when a child is overwhelmed with big emotions like sadness or frustration. But every feeling, including sadness, is valid. Giving children the space to express their emotions without judgment helps them feel safe and understood. It’s not about fixing how they feel, but letting them know it’s okay to feel.

When children are allowed to process their emotions in a supportive environment, they grow up feeling more secure, resilient, and emotionally aware. The way we respond can shape how they handle their feelings for the rest of their lives. 🌟

“I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Touro College Graduate School of Social Work in 2014.
Ever since I was young, many have gravitated toward me for a listening ear, words of encouragement, and guidance. Taking my natural ability to easily connect with people from all walks of life, I went on to take my skills to a professional level and am now helping people become the best version of themselves. My motto has always been one must not only survive but thrive despite one’s challenges – life gave you lemons? squeeze, add sugar – and enjoy the best lemonade.
As an immigrant who is familiar with many obstacles, I’m all about embracing diversity and uplifting spirits using many different modalities.
My professional experience has been solidified working with pre-school age children, post-college adults.
I have worked with the Re-Entry population, primarily males re-entering society after their release from New York State prisons, as well as working with adult women with disabilities and children with behavior and learning challenges. I also work with parents counseling them to help school children perform better academically, socially and emotionally.
I am a spiritual person and believe G-d gave me special talents that I can use to enhance my passion to make this world a better place. In my desire to take care of others, I founded numerous projects under the umbrella of Russian Nshei in Crown Heights, including MaMi which provides meals for families who had a baby, baby packages and other items to ease families with their new addition. In my free time, I love going places with my family, listening to and playing music, and participating in concerts and speaking engagements.
