I grew up and attended school in South Africa during the early years of the country’s democracy, an experience that instilled in me a strong multicultural awareness and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.This foundation has shaped my approach to therapy, where I strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all my clients. My practice is rooted in the belief that mental health is intrinsically linked to all other aspects of the lived human experience including physical well-being. I’m passionate about exploring the impact of diet, exercise, and movement on our emotional and psychological states, offering a holistic approach to therapy. Specializing in working with young adults, I find great fulfillment in helping this demographic navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood. My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered, fostering a warm, empathetic relationship where clients feel truly heard and understood. I also incorporate techniques from various other modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Existential Therapy, which I find particularly effective in promoting self-understanding and inner harmony.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience working with a range of mental health challenges, including ADHD, depression, various forms of anxiety and phobias, eating disorders, and sleep/wake disorders.
