Hi, Iβm Bassya!
I have been practicing psychology since 1990 and I am a licensed in California (PSY21080) and in New York (015730). I have treated children, adolescents and adults from varied ethnic groups and with a broad range of problems, including trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have also worked extensively with couples and reconfigured families (stepfamilies).
From 1990 until 2005 I worked as a clinician and clinical supervisor in a mental health agency in Brooklyn, New York, (Counterforce: a Dropout and Drug Prevention / Family Enrichment Center). From 2002 to 2005 I was also in private practice in Brooklyn.
In 2005 I moved to California and I currently have a private practice in Los Angeles.
In addition from 2005 until July of 2018, I was the clinic coordinator and clinical supervisor at Aleinu, Pico Robertson Jewish Family Resource Center. And, I was the director of the Intern Training Program and the School Based Programs. I also facilitated and directed Parenting Workshops that included special series for parents of teens, parents with special needs children, and parents of stepfamilies.
