Acceptance is a word that is extremely important when reflecting on the reason I chose to become a mental health counselor. I believe that we are all on our own individual journeys of self-exploration, creating balance in our lives and accepting the difficult choices that we all must go through which will lead us through our own journey. I have learned that surrounding yourself with people who listen, provide you support, and create a positive environment will allow us to grow and become a stronger and healthier version of ourselves.
I have received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Touro College and currently working under my Limited Permit. When working with clients I often implement CBT, Whole Person Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I always acknowledge that each client is an individual and every client will have their own path of healing. I understand that it is my responsibility to provide each client with their own tools to help enhance their lives and to become the healthiest and happiest version of themselves.
