Online Therapy in Queens

Video sessions from home, with an in-person option: the LIRR or subway to Atlantic Terminal, then the 3 train to Kingston Ave.

Queens is the most diverse borough in the world, and Crown Counseling's multicultural therapy team is ready to serve its residents via telehealth. From Astoria to Jamaica, our secure video sessions eliminate the commute while providing the same expert care. We specialize in culturally sensitive therapy for Queens' many communities, including South Asian, Hispanic, Caribbean, and East Asian residents. We accept most major insurance plans common in Queens.

How video sessions work

Our clinicians are licensed in New York State, so a client in Queens gets the same therapist, the same session and the same insurance coverage as someone walking into our Crown Heights office. Before each appointment we send a secure link. You need a camera, a connection and a door that closes.

If you ever want to come in, you can. Most sessions are by video. For occasional in-person visits: A/C Train: From Far Rockaway, Howard Beach, or Ozone Park; ride to Nostrand Ave. E/F/M/R Train: Transfer at Atlantic Ave–Barclays to the 3, ride to Kingston Ave. LIRR: To Atlantic Terminal, then the 3 train to Kingston Ave.

Questions from Queens

Are your therapists licensed to see someone in Queens?⌄

Yes. Every clinician is licensed in New York State, which covers Queens. Sessions are by secure video from wherever you are, and if you ever want to come in, our office is at 1398 Carroll Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

What do I need for a video session?⌄

A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a reliable connection, and a private place to talk for the session. We send a secure link before each appointment; there is nothing to install.

Is video therapy as effective as in person?⌄

For most people and most concerns, yes, and the research on it is consistent. Where in-person work matters more, for some children or some trauma treatment, your clinician will say so and you can come to Crown Heights for those sessions.

Do you take my insurance?⌄

We are in network with most major plans, including Medicaid, Healthfirst, MetroPlus and Fidelis, and video sessions are covered the same way as in-person ones. Tell us your plan on the intake form and the office will confirm coverage first.

What happens after I fill in the form?⌄

The office calls you to ask what you are looking for, match you with a clinician who works in that area, and find a time that works with your day.
