Online Therapy in Westchester County

Video sessions with Brooklyn-based clinicians, in-network with the same plans. For occasional visits, Metro-North to Grand Central, then the subway to Kingston Ave.

Living in Westchester doesn't mean settling for limited therapy options. Crown Counseling's telehealth services bring our full team of licensed therapists to you, wherever you are in Westchester County, from White Plains to Yonkers, New Rochelle to Mount Vernon. We provide individual, couples, family, and child therapy via secure video, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.

How video sessions work

Our clinicians are licensed in New York State, so a client in Westchester County gets the same therapist, the same session and the same insurance coverage as someone walking into our Crown Heights office. Before each appointment we send a secure link. You need a camera, a connection and a door that closes.

If you ever want to come in, you can. Most sessions are by video. For occasional in-person visits: Metro-North: Harlem Line to Grand Central, the 4/5 downtown to Atlantic Ave–Barclays, then the 3 to Kingston Ave. Bee-Line Bus + Metro-North: Various Westchester buses connect to Metro-North stations.

Questions from Westchester County

Are your therapists licensed to see someone in Westchester County?⌄

Yes. Every clinician is licensed in New York State, which covers Westchester County. Sessions are by secure video from wherever you are, and if you ever want to come in, our office is at 1398 Carroll Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

What do I need for a video session?⌄

A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a reliable connection, and a private place to talk for the session. We send a secure link before each appointment; there is nothing to install.

Is video therapy as effective as in person?⌄

For most people and most concerns, yes, and the research on it is consistent. Where in-person work matters more, for some children or some trauma treatment, your clinician will say so and you can come to Crown Heights for those sessions.

Do you take my insurance?⌄

We are in network with most major plans, including Medicaid, Healthfirst, MetroPlus and Fidelis, and video sessions are covered the same way as in-person ones. Tell us your plan on the intake form and the office will confirm coverage first.

What happens after I fill in the form?⌄

The office calls you to ask what you are looking for, match you with a clinician who works in that area, and find a time that works with your day.
